So it is widely served with most Indian breakfasts, snacks and appetizers like kebabs & tikkis. Mint Chutney is a quintessential accompaniment with all kinds of kebabs. It's unheard of to be served a kebab without this spicy and lovely chutney! Put mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, cashew nuts, salt, black salt, chat masala in a grinder and grind without adding water.
Instructions to make Mint(Pudina) kebab:
- Soak chanadal for at least 4-5 hrs or overnight. Then Drain and keep aside.
- Grind the chanadal coarsely without adding any water.
- Make a paste of the Ginger & green chillies and mix it to the ground chanadal.
- Add rice flour, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, chopped mint leaves, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
- Make round tiny balls of the above mixture. Keep it ready and set aside.
- Heat the Appe pan, brush each mould with oil and Put the prepared balls/ kebabs in it.
- Cook on medium flame till they are golden brown in colour.
- Serve hot with some tomato ketchup / green chutney and a hot cup of masala chai.
